现代都市建筑设计院（简称：现代都市院或XD-UD）为现代建筑设计集团下的核心品牌，是以建筑设计为主的现代科技型企业。秉承集团优良传统，采用现代化企业管理机制，以创新服务为理念，是行业内知名设计机构。多年来，公司产值连创新高，在集团内建筑设计产值名列前茅。公司在2005年至2008年被上海市政府授予文明单位荣誉称号。
公司肩负做强、做精和创新“现代设计”核心品牌的重任，是现代集团唯一授权管理“现代设计”资质的日常机构。公司以城市规划设计、建筑设计为核心主业，设计咨询、声学设计、房测加固、建筑智能化等专业设计为特色，并积极探索专业领域及特色化服务。
公司以现代设计集团为坚强后盾，各类专业技术人才丰富。公司总人数超过五百名，拥有建筑、结构、机电各专业资深设计师及设计精英。其中包括约一百名国家注册建筑师及注册工程师，各专业技术人员占85%, 高级工程师占22%左右。
公司创作成果遍及全国25个省市，近10个国家，其中60余项工程设计、科研项目和标准设计获国家、省（市）级优秀设计和科研进步奖。公司在安徽、云南、山东、内蒙古等地设有分支机构，至今与美国、英国、法国、德国、澳大利亚、日本、新加坡、韩国、香港、台湾等国家和地区的设计机构进行合作设计和交流。

Shanghai Xian Dai UD Architectural Design Institute( hereafter referred to as XD-AD), the core brand of Shanghai Xian Dai Architectural Design Group, is a modern technological company with architectural design as its main business and is well-known in this field, inheriting the good traditions from the Group, adopting up-to-date enterprise management mechanism, and insisting innovation service ideology.
For years, XD-AD has been making new highs in output values, ranking top in architectural design output in the Group, and was granted by the Shanghai Municipality the title ‘Model Unit of Shanghai’.
As an ordinary operating organization entrusted by the Group to manage “Xian Dai Design” qualification, XD-AD bears the responsibility of building up and innovating upon the core brand of “Xian Dai Design” into a stronger and better one. With planning, urban design, and architectural design as its core business, consultation, building acoustics, house detecting & strengthening and intelligence design as its feature, XD-AD Institute is making great efforts to provide clients with professional and characteristic services.
Directly provided with the vast resource of the Group, XD-AD is abundant in technical staff. XD-AD has more than 500 employees, among which 85% are technical experts and 22% are senior architects and engineers, and possesses of senior qualified engineers and elites in architecture, structure and HAVC design, and over 100 National Registered Architects and Structural engineers of Grade I.
With its service spreading across 25 provinces and cities in China as well as about 10 countries, XD-AD has more than 60 projects designs, scientific researches and standard designs granted National, Provincial or Municipal Awards for Outstanding Design or Progressive Scientific & Technological Achievements. Nowadays, XD-AD has branches in Anhui, Yunnan, Shandong and Inner Mongolia, and also has constant cooperation and communication with design teams from countries and areas such as America, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
